Hospital researchers and life sciences researchers have patient data for their
analysis. They know what drugs have been prescribed to patients but often do
not know what drugs the patient has purchased and is using. Retail pharmacies
have detailed lists of drugs that the patients are taking that were prescribed
by the hospital and by other doctors not with the hospital.

Hospital researchers want access to the different pharmacies' prescription data
for more detailed research.

Here the hospital will run a “fuzzy match” (or exact match) to identify
the intersection of their customers and the pharmacy’s customers.
